Alexandra (High) School was founded in 1878 by the Rev. Robert Clark of the Church Missionary Society, London, so that the girls Punjab could receive the highest and the best education.

The school is situated on 13 acres of lush green land and provides conducive, open and supportive academic atmosphere - “A Bond of All Round Excellence”. The school provides quality education and aims at all round development of the child’s personality. It has excellent sports facility and is well equipped with the latest teaching aids in order to broaden the scope of higher education for meritorious students.
This Historical institution under Church of North India is being run by Diocese of Amritsar (C.N.I). The Most Rev. (Dr.) P.K.Samantaroy, the Bishop Diocese of Amritsar is the Chairman of the School and Mrs. Suman Jannett Engles is the present principal .
With the grace & blessings of Almighty God the members of “Governing Body of Alexandra Schools Amritsar”/ Management Committee Alexandra school, Amritsar planned to start its new branch at Tarn Taran in September,2022 with the same zeal & mission. The responsibility of this project was given to Mrs. Suman Jannett Engles Principal Alexandra School, Amritsar. The campus is situated in the heart of Tarn – Taran and is surrounded with lush green campus all around and provides conducive, open and supportive academic atmosphere and quality education based on modern education.
The new session of this branch will begin on 3rd April,2023
